Grayson Shelter benefit concert
Carl Acuff Jr. and his band will be performing a benefit concert for the Grayson County Shelter on Nov. 21. The concert will be at 7 p.m. at the Sherman High School auditorium.
Acuff and his band have been performing throughout the nation since 1992. The Grammy-nominated group performs pop hits, Motown, Memphis rock and roll, gospel and country. The show also includes impersonations and a patriotic tribute.
Concert tickets are $10 per person and are available in advance by contacting the shelter or at the door the night of the concert.
The Grayson County Shelter, located in Denison, is a non-profit homeless shelter for displaced families. It serves Grayson county, as well as surrounding counties in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing private family rooms, regular meals, and other necessities.
